Senior Safety Specialist: South East
Our client is a major oil and gas engineering contractor working globally. A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Safety Specialist to be located in their South East offices on a contract or permanent basis.

This role would involve developing, at detail design phase, engineering solutions to Technical Safety Engineering requirements as part of a Risk & Safety team engaged in production of engineering deliverables to a tightly controlled schedule for an Oil & Gas project.

The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of oil & gas projects, other safety system engineering and equipment experience should extend to TSR, safe enclosures and Escape Route requirements, safety equipment (particularly BA), EER and Safety Signage. Sound knowledge of design engineering associated with Safety systems, including basic knowledge of European regulations, codes and standards affecting the use, distribution and availability of safety systems and equipment. Knowledge of RoK Regulations and codes would be a distinct advantage.

You should be conversant with a design process that involves the procurement cycle, producing specifications and layouts and liaison with other affected disciplines

You will have a degree in safety engineering or equivalent subject, with a strong background in Oil & Gas projects, particularly having practiced knowledge of, and be conversant with Hazardous Area Classification to IP-15, 2002 and/or 2005.
