The role

Working alongside – and taking briefs from – the Team Leader/Executive Engineer, you will deliver elements of the designs for any project, often working under your own initiative. Whatever stage of a project you are involved in, you will make sure that everything you do is in line with relevant regulations and design guides. As well as delivering surveys, designs and specifications of systems, you will develop and produce reports, specifications and guidance notes in relation to your specific project. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing selected testing and commissioning results.

About you

You should have a relevant BEng/MEng degree in mechanical, building services engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent qualification. You should also have a good technical knowledge in your primary discipline, be it mechanical or electrical building services design; this knowledge should be complemented by a sound understanding of the secondary discipline. As a graduate with relevant building services design experience, you should be working towards chartered status. With clear communication skills and a team-based work approach, you appreciate that holistic working is central to good building design. It is also important that you are comfortable working on your own initiative.
