Section Engineer Nuclear, North West 25K 36K
A Section Engineer is required to work on a nuclear project in the North West. This is a major Civil Engineering project that will be on site until at least the middle of 2010. Future opportunities and career development are some of the best available in the UK and this is an excellent opportunity to join my client.
For this Section Engineer position you will need to have experience of civil infrastructure projects and in particular those involving reinforced concrete structures (Structural RC). A large / main contractor background would be advantageous but not essential.
In general your key responsibilities and objectives fall into the following categories:
Commercial, Contractual & Management Input
Temporary Works Design & Management
Information & Change Control on Projects
Apply Engineering Knowledge & Technical Information
Safety, Environment, Operational & Planning Controls
Workmanship & Quality
Dimensional Control of projects and works
Materials Management & Control
Nuclear experience is NOT essential. You will need good technical skills and have experience on Civil Infrastructure projects in either highways / roads, water, utilities, rail, coastal, defence etc. If you have security clearance of some form this would be an advantage as this is a nuclear facility and will involve passing security clearance.
