My client based in South Yorkshire is currently looking to recruit a Quality Control Engineer on a permanent basis. The candidate should be an experienced Engineer, ideally from a metals or manufacturing background.

Main Roles and Responsibilities --
To have a day to day roving quality control function to ensure quality standards are maintained
Be first line quality control making decisions on any product quality issues which may occur
Gain extensive knowledge of specifications
Liaise with production control to co ordinate outside inspection bodies meeting production deadlines
Liaise with external inspection bodies when on site -- ensure they have all necessary information / gauges etc. to carry out product verification.
Give training to any new inspectors that the company may wish to promote into this function
To maintain the documented Quality Management System at all levels.
�tCarry out improvements to the QMS system as required.
�tProvide an internal and external audit service to an agreed audit schedule.
�tEnsure/establish sufficient resource is in place to fulfil the requirements of the audit schedule.
�tProvide Quality Plans as required by customers
�tMaintain the Quality Library for Design / Country Codes and Specifications.
�tEnsure the Company\'s Quality Records are produced and retained in an adequate storage archive facility. -- With backup files in case of fire.
�tEnsure Product Certification and 3rd Party Certification is issued to customer and filed to archive.
�tProvide a \'Quality\' input to correspondence in answer too customers questions / queries.
