Job Specification


� Project Managing and integrating the engineering design, component procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of the 1 MW tidal device (HS1000), including the design and construction of the subsea connection, substation and grid connection.
� Programme integration and resource management of the three main design houses, the major component manufacturers (substructure, nacelle, blades, & BOP) and marine installation contractor.
� Progress & cost management and reporting using WBS
� Managing/controlling contract variations
� Provide significant input to developing the procurement strategy and downstream supply chain.
� Establishing and implementing QA system
� QHSE compliance and CDM Coordinator management
� Project Risk identification, mitigation and management

Experience



Skills & Qualifications

It is essential that the Project Manager has the following skill base and attributes:
� Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline
� Chartered status, preferably IMechE
� Recognised project management qualification
� Excellent communicator with good man management skills
� Robust negotiator
� Decisive and delivery focused
� Structured Organiser
� Computer literate in Word, MS Project, Excel and MS PowerPoint
