An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager has become available with our client who work very closely with Sellafield Ltd in the Seascale area. An excellent package is on offer to the sucessful candidate.

Purpose of Post

To manage defined Projects, allocated by the Vice President Projects, to
execute and deliver these Projects in accordance with the contractual
requirements and with particular regard for Time, Quality, Cost and SHEQ and
to the satisfaction of the Customer.

Principal Accountabilities

Functionally accountable to the Vice President Projects for the successful
management of assigned projects. To support the Business Development Team as
required in winning new business under agreed and acceptable Terms &
Conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Act as point of Contact for the day to day customer interface and communication and deal with all commercial aspects
Define KPI�s and obtain Customer Feedback
Produce the breakdown structure for the Project, issue associated budget and programme to enable detailed monitoring of the key performance parameters
To control costs and maximise margin improvement
To ensure adequate resource is in place to meet the Project obligations
To lead and direct the project team
To ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with the client
Management Systems including SHEQ
To liaise with the Head of Assurance to:
Ensure the health & safety of personnel & report accordingly
Ensure environmental aspects are adhered to & report accordingly
Ensure quality aspects are adhered to & report accordingly
Produce Project reports in the required format to keep the VP Projects and
other Stakeholders appraised of the status of the project(s) including, but
not limited to, progress updates, financial summaries and associated risks and
opportunities
To raise the necessary P.O.�s and to liaise with procurement in selection and
control of suppliers
To support and liaise with the Business development team, where required, in
compiling Bids and offers and answering queries during a tender negotiation
phase

You will have extensive experience within the Nuclear Industry and preferably, you will be qualified to degree level, although education level could be countered by exceptional experience.
