Basic Purpose of Job:
Manages a programme of medium sized upgrades or medium sized projects. Manage the cost and schedule of allocated projects; manage kick off and progress meetings to ensure project requirements are communicated to discipline Engineers and maintain the Technical Assurance of the Engineering process.
Shall be responsible for the management of all the allocated client Project/Modification from kick off to close out.
Shall be responsible for raising the initiation CTR budget to allow the development of the SOW documentation and cost estimate.
Shall be responsible for the organisation and management of the kick off and subsequent progress meetings.
Shall be responsible for the development of the overall project budget and schedule and the management thereof.
Shall be responsible for ensuring good communication of discipline issues
Shall be responsible for keeping the client informed of progress cost and project issues.
Shall ensure timely approval of project budgets and CTRs.
Shall ensure delivery of each Project/Modification to budget and schedule, ensuring changes are managed and suitably approved by the client prior to implementation.
Shall be the clients' primary focal point for allocated Project/Modifications.
Shall maintain a constant dialogue with other Project Engineers, the Delivery Team Leader and Engineering Manager to ensure project priorities are maintained.
Education & Qualifications:
Degree and membership of a professional institution (ideally Mechanical or Process / Electrical / Instrumentation).
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
Understanding of commercial and technical Risk Assessments
Practitioner in project Risk Management processes
Experience:
Considerable experience in the management of multi disciplined offshore or onshore oil and gas projects (design, procurement, & construction scope).
