Exciting positions for Process Engineers exist with an Operator based in the North West. Their Downstream businesses refine, supply, trade and ship crude oil worldwide, and manufacture, transport and market fuels, lubricants, bitumen, LPG and bulk petrochemicals for domestic, transportation and industrial use. Altogether, the organisation employs some 80,000 people.


They are currently looking to recruit Process Engineers to join their Project Development team at their Manufacturing Complex based in the North West. Employing some 800 people, the complex processes around 12 million tonnes of crude oil a year.

The job role responsibilities will cover the follow areas:
tCarry out feasibility and scouting studies for proposals to improve our economic position, extend the lifetime of our plant and respond to the changing regulatory environment
tDevelop project proposals to basis of design and basic design and engineering package level, including process modelling, process design and equipment evaluation
tWork with the refinery economist to develop integrated business cases and prepare investment proposal submissions for management approval
tContribute to post-implementation assessments
tParticipate in cross-functional teams on wider issues, both within and outside the complex.

The role will require goal-oriented engineers with a track record of problem solving and delivering results. With a BSc in chemical or process engineering, you'll have significant process engineering experience supporting refining or petrochemical plants. You will have been exposed to feasibility studies and basis of design development, and ideally you will have experience of design and projects
