The main parts of the job will be to: Act as a Technical Authority, provide technical leadership, guidance and consultancy in NDE to all integrity services operations and clients. Provide visible, pro-active HS & E leadership. In particular, ensure that incident reporting, task risk assessment and safe methods of work are followed. Assist with the provision of NDE awareness training to IS personnel. Assist or lead NDE sub-contractor quality assurance support. Ensure Technical Authorisation procedure is followed for all line reports. Ensure Activity Monitoring and Witnessed Inspection procedures are followed for all line reports, in line with the IS Activity Monitoring Audit Plan. Provide information to assist Project Manager to prepare monthly project reports for internal and client use covering HSE, cost and technical aspects. Act as deputy for Project Manager in their absence
Applicants should preferably have a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or science discipline allthough a wide breadth and depth of experience in the Oil and Gas industry may be considered as an alternative. Team leadership and extensive inspection experience combined with a strong work ethic are essential requirements. Qualified to ASNT/PCN Level III in a minimum of one NDE discipline and ASNT/PCN Level II in others but preferred Level III in UT,RT,MP and DP. In addition, candidates should possess good communication skills in written and verbal (English), be a team player, and possess adaptability and the ability to work to tight deadlins. Computer literacy would be preferred, along with an organised and practical minded- approach.
