The Role
Ambitious, progressive development of the company has now created an immediate opening for an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to provide pro-active contractual and financial leadership to a team of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Engineers in a number of high profile contracts in Cumbria. The principle responsibilities will be to ensure beneficial, client facing financial recovery and contractual protection and risk management; effective financial forecasting and cost control measures; provide monthly valuations, variation analysis, financial planning and CVR reporting; sub-contract agreement, management and control; Final Account negotiation and agreement.
The Candidate Essentially you will have a successful track record of projects within either commissioning of plant equipment, pipe work systems, mechanical, electrical, control, instrumentation or minor civils works. The successful candidate will have an interest in team building, coaching and mentoring and fostering good client relationships in order to further develop the future success of the company. Must have a thorough understanding of NEC and GC/Wks1 contracts, spreadsheets and database systems. Ideally qualified and able to demonstrate good communication skills, positive attitude and a successful track record of managing multi-contract teams.
