My Public Sector client based in Gorton is currently looking for 2 Facilities Officers to work on a temporary basis, initially for 2 -3 months, which is to be reviewed.

Working week is five over seven with alternate Saturdays at present with a
day off during the week, enhancements for the weekends worked, this could
also include Sundays where they would have two days off during the week.
The core hours are 9.00am 5.00pm for three days with two lates of 12.30pm
8.00pm. One hour unpaid lunch on early and half hour unpaid on the late.

Duties:

Ability to undertake minor maintenance, building repairs and Facilities Management, including the use of small hand tools.

Provision of a comprehensive and responsive Facilities Management Service over a number of locations and the management of staff within the service.

Manage a team of approximately eight staff. Deal with people in the team who were not performing well.

The team they would manage could be working across a number of sites with different shift patterns. Must be able to ensure that communication within the team was effective.

Ensuring the Health & Safety of staff, customers, contractors and visitors to the buildings is an important part of this role.

Manage on a daily basis conflicting demands from various teams (eg dealing with emergencies, dealing with routine work etc) and ensure customer satisfaction with the service provided?

Be able to deal with customers who are disruptive and engage in anti-social behaviour.

Minimum job requirements:

Experience, knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.

Must have experience of the supervision of both in-house and external contractors who mostly are operating in an environment where members of the public are present and understand the important points to consider when supervising contractors in these situations?

Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Statutory:

Full driving Licence as they will be driving transit type Vans, no more than 6 points on the Licence.
