Based in Sale, my Public Sector client is currently looking to recruit 2 Facilities Assistants. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience, and be able to offer complete flexibility with shift patterns, as you will be required to work some evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness and security of several buildings. If you take pride in your work, and have the ability to provide outstanding customer care, this is the perfect job for you!

A full driving licence is essential.

Main Duties:

To be responsible for maintaining the safe custody, security and general supervision of the building or buildings and car park facilities in their charge and keeping the building in a high standard of good repair & cleanliness. This will include emergency callout duties as required.

To assist, or make suitable arrangements for contractors and visitors requiring access to all buildings.

To be prepared to work flexible hours over a 6 day period.

To attend, as required by management meetings, functions held in the building including those taking place at weekends.

To be responsible for the cleaning staff

To be responsible for the heating of the building and to report any defects.

To assist in post rooms at all buildings as and when required.

To be responsible for cleaning of items outside the normal cleaning duties including light fittings, internal glass screens etc and the servicing of lavatories with towels, soap and paper.

To be responsible for setting out rooms for meetings, working groups etc being held in conference suites within the council area.

To be responsible for (other than maintenance and repair) all electrical equipment, including motors, fans, fires, convectors, lighting fittings and to report any defects to the Building/Area Supervisor.

To assist with Mayoralty duties including acting as Chauffeur as required.

To assist with football parking as required (overtime will be paid)
