require an experienced public sector project manager to support the delivery of the Equality agenda across a large central govt client. The project manager will support an Equality and Diversity Council providing project management support in terms of project plans, timelines and key milestones. The project manager will report directly to the Workforce Deputy Director for Equality and Diversity.
Role will involve
oDevelop the project initiation document and on-going development of the business case
oDevelop and populate the project implementation plan underpinned by key milestones
oCarry out budget management profiling and forecasting and ensure that regular reporting in-line with directorate needs is in place
oSet up/refresh the governance arrangements and ensure that the appropriate project boards are implemented and operating against a clear and �signed off� ToR
oWork in close collaboration with policy leads, officials and communications managers to develop action plans / stakeholder plans
oManage and assure procurement
oDevelop and maintain the risk and issue log through to successful resolution
oSet up system for monitoring delivery and escalation with wider workforce team
oSupport the Deputy Director with relevant corporate business management activities that underpin successful delivery of the project
oInitiate PPM skills transfer that increases capacity and capability across the team
SOLID NHS Health sector experience an advantage.
