Technician Polymer North West Permanent

Our client is a leading global manufacturer within the paper industry and due to an increase in workload and an increase in capital spend and opportunity has arose for a technician to work within their plant in the north west.

You will be either a degree-qualified chemist or have relevant practical experience within basic wet chemistry. Candidates will have school level or industry knowledge of dealing with formulation and analytical techniques including titrations and also chemical handling.

The duties of the role will include bench scale experiments in resin formulation and modification. You will be working under the chemist who will assist you in these duties. You will also be expected to mix resin systems and coatings, prepare castings and sample specimens. Your role will also require the characterisation of polyurethane chemicals, resins and belts.
