My client is looking for a Strategic Architect who has in depth experience in the following areas:

Specific experience:
Strong technical experience of technologies of high availability, multi-tier, web service-based multi-site database-centric applications.
Managing architecture across the lifecycle from business requirements, strategic architecture and roadmap definition, solution options, management of IT solution providers, design product assurance including fit with requirement, compliance with standards, assessment of value for money, through to risk management during test and operational phases.

General experience:
Hands on management in delivery context.
Architecting in a Web Services / SOA environment, mixed with large and complex legacy estate.
Experience of working in a server intensive environment (100+ servers) is essential.
Experience of producing and assuring conceptual, logical and physical architectures.
Experience of a broad range of technologies and of environments.
Ability to liaise between business and IT teams to ensure business needs are met.
Articulate technologist with demonstrated ability to communicate technology solutions in relevant business terms on a peer basis.
High-value solution bid experience.
Business acumen and experience at interfacing / negotiating between business and IT, and between clients and suppliers.
Knowledge of industry standard Architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF, SABSA.
