Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Safety Engineer working within their Aberdeen office, you will be a vital link between our Principal / Lead Engineers and the remainder of our safety engineering team. You will work with their Principal Engineers to develop integrated solutions for clients that will require you to liaise with other departments within the Company such as process, structural, dynamic simulation, CFD, reliability, human factors and environment.

Your assignments will predominantly be based in the Aberdeen office, working locally for major operators and engineering contractors. You will support the Principal Engineers in project work, ongoing client consultancy activities as well as possible secondments into their client offices.

They have a number of overseas clients and opportunities shall arise to complete work, overseas or from Aberdeen, in various Regulatory regimes throughout the world.

You will be a vital member of the team and as such you will be encouraged to develop your technical skills and become a Project Manager to lead small teams of other engineers and gain the experience necessary to take the next step to becoming a Principal / Lead Engineer.

Requirements
Essential
Good (Honours) degree in an engineering discipline, CEng status or equivalent
Safety professional with a high level of oil and gas safety experience
Experience of line and project management
Excellent report writing, presentation skills etc
Has delivered most aspects of safety engineering, risk assessment, risk management and Safety Cases
Proven technical competence in most areas of risk analysis and risk management (HAZID, QRA, FEA, reliability and availability) along with practical safety case skills, authoring ALARP documentation
Self-motivating, with the ability to supervise a small team of safety engineers if required
Understands operations and integrity interfaces and has good appreciation of clients business risk drivers.

Additional Information
Travel to other company sites may be necessary
