Senior Project QS: Manchester: Up to 48k Plus Car & excellent Package

This vacancy is working for one of the UKs and the worlds leading construction, development & service groups. As a core business they specialise in building and civil engineering, private house building, property development and the Private Finance Initiative.

I have the position of recruiting a Senior Project QS to work within the Commercial team for the Construction Division; which has offices throughout the UK and Overseas which enable the business to offer specialist regional knowledge to all projects.

This is a very important position for the business and as Senior Surveyor you will have total responsibility for a range of projects with estimated values 5-10 million. You will be working within a team of 12 surveyors, with each senior responsible for their own area and range of projects. Although reporting to the Managing QS this position will take full responsibility for the projects and seeing them from tender through to completion.

This position is a new role for the team because of the continued development of the business as a whole. The first project this position will take responsibility for is an 8 million, 45-week project that involves the large extension and refurbishment development for one of the UKs leading retailers.

This position is based out of their Manchester Office but this person will be expected to spend a large amount of time on site for the initial project, which is based in West Yorkshire.

Experience of dealing with large projects is essential with retail experience an advantage
