With revenues of US$105 billion our client produces approx 10% of the world steel output. In addition to their steelmaking capabilities, they also operate a number of iron ore and coalmines worldwide. As a result of tremendous growth within the mining division, an opportunity for a savvy Project Engineering Manager to join their Central London office is now available.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this globally focussed role involves the overall Project Management of project engineering and design carried out by Consultants for Prefeasibility and Feasibility Studies and Project Implementation in a number of geographical locations. With international travel accounting for approx 40%, you will provide technical input and guidance for site engineering and maintenance work as well as managing the commercial and cost controls for each site.

In addition to a relevant tertiary qualification, the ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years experience within the project engineering, contracts, design and maintenance functions with at least 5 years in project management. Experience in open cut mining, related infrastructure, rail, ports and/or process plants is essential.
