I am looking to fill two roles on behalf of my client based just outside Edinburgh.

My client provides world-class custom manufacturing and related services to the Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Specialties industries. The company has highly versatile and modern fine chemical production and process development facilities at Grangemouth (Scotland) and Kokkola (Finland).
With a comprehensive range of manufacturing assets and technologies, they have established a strong reputation as a provider of exclusive custom manufacturing services to the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and specialty chemical sectors.

Role 1
Fast track process development & design of plant to manufacture complex organic chemical using mixture of continuous and batch processing. Up to 300 C and 50 barg. Needs design & operational experience of batch and continuous plants. Experience of plug flow reactors an advantage.

Role 2 (possible also role3)
Fast track implementation of new batch fine chemical processes. Requires understanding of process needs to make best utilisation of existing equipment and design of any new plant required. Completion of all necessary safety studies etc to accommodate the new product, commission it and maximise output rate. Requires experience of batch plant design and operation.

In both roles, availability to work shifts or be on call 24x7 may be required during the initial manufacturing period.
