Our client is a pharmaceutical company with a well earned reputation for innovation, efficiency, and providing solutions and products that address unmet needs in the market. The company is currently making a significant investment in constructing brand new facilities in the Hertfordshire area, and is now seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the expanding Manufacturing team.

The role has responsibility for the reliable and GMP compliant operation of mechanical manufacturing and packaging equipment in the company's new European solid dose manufacturing facility. You will form part of a process and instrumentation team focussed on production equipment and operations and will be responsible for delivering a programme of maintenance regimes and continuous improvement projects. All with the objective of maximising production up time and minimising equipment failures.

At this time the facility is under construction with the production processing equipment out to tender. The successful candidate will therefore be key to the successful commissioning, installation and qualification of the equipment leading to the successful start up of site.

You will be an apprentice-trained or minimum mechanical city & guilds qualified engineer, and should have experience within a GMP manufacturing environment, ideally including solid dosage or packaging machinery.
