MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS:

BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering Or Relevant Apprenticeship with HNC.

EXPERIENCE:

3 years post training experience in Mechanical Engineering of Marine Systems with Design and 3D CAE Tools.

SUMMARY:

Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum 3 years system design experience in industrial or marine applications. Experience of System Engineering, Structural Analysis using Finite Element Modelling and Solid Modelling Design Tools would be an advantage.

Designing and drawing complete electro-hydraulic and mechanical handling systems for a variety of marine-based handling applications. The ideal candidate should have an awareness of Military environmental requirements, including equipment standards for Shock, Noise & Vibration and hazardous areas.

The post demands thorough project awareness from the initial requirement specification through to final customer acceptance.

To compliment a flair for problem solving and innovation, a track record with Pro Engineer or equivalent, Pro/Mechanica CAE tools with demonstrable experience of creating high quality production drawings is required.
