Our client are a specialist engineering company that specialise in skid mounted process package, metering equipment and water treatment systems for customers throughout the globe. They design, manufacture, install and commissioning all projects and delivery through the full project life-cycle. They currently require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Gloucestershire based HQ's. Will be responsible for the following;

To produce overview and detail drawings of skid mounted systems and associated items for projects handled by the Engineering Department. Achieve agreed drawing submission schedules within budget and to specification requirements for all projects.
Improve current design practices with a view to achieve improved efficiency or more cost effective designs.
Provide technical assistance to the Production Department on a day to day basis, solving problems during the fabrication and assembly of the plant.
Establish and maintain Contract files and drawing/document records for all projects.
Ensure that all Design Office activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and that design standards in document preparation and presentation are maintained and updated.
Apply established Design Office practices and procedures in order to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of designs and therefore contribute to the profitability of the Company.
Sales / Proposals
Assist in preparation of technical proposals by preparing proposal drawings as required by the Design Office Supervisor.
General / Administration
Ensure company procedures are followed and standards are maintained.
Documentation
Ensure that drawings for submission to client are produced in accordance with the project document submission schedule.
Ensure that customer comments are incorporated into drawings within 48 hours of receipt.
Ensure that as-built data is incorporated into drawings.
Ensure that final drawings are available at the designated time to avoid delays in final payment.
