Head of Civil Construction UK Cheshire Based 60K (negotiable)

A Head of Civil Construction is required for my client who is a world leader in designing, developing and the construction of major transport and infrastructure projects. They require a Head of Civil Construction to organise, lead and manage all of the UK based construction teams and projects with values up to 1 billion.

You main responsibilities will be:

Participation in identification and timely assignment of Civil Construction Personnel to projects
Execution of civil construction works
Participation in civil construction execution
Participation in development/training, career planning and assessment of civil personnel
Participate in resources database upkeep
Participation in overall construction monthly reviews of projects associated with their Execution
Centre
Review and Verification of civil construction budge
Where necessary implementation of cost saving initiatives
Ensure Companys EHS and Quality policies are implemented
Direct and control the Civil Tendering for tenders
Implementation and maintenance of Civil Construction Department policies, processes, procedures and requirements
Achievement of Goals as set by Head of Construction and Commissioning UK

You will need knowledge and experience of the following:

Substantial experience in managing civil construction within projects
Substantial experience in management of civil resources including civil project management
team plus civil contractors
Experience in managing civil subcontractors
Substantial experience and knowledge of tendering
Substantial experience and knowledge of civil, roads, building and architectural construction
Experience in managing civil budgets
Experience in representing organisation to client on civil matters
Experience in understanding the EHS requirements within the civil execution aspect of
construction projects
Good team building and communication skills.

Long term potential with this company is excellent and the position will require occasional site visits. The package is dependant upon experience and is negotiable for the right person.
