Within this Project Services Team, the Cost and Planning Engineer will support the cost, schedule and risk management for Front End and Non Shell operated projects in the Americas region plus world wide for deep-water projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera (5.0) and MS Project.
Develop cost structure, then monitor, report and forecast project cost using SAP and other cost management tools.
Responsibility for applying the risk management process including risk identification and maintenance plus qualitative and quantitative analyses of schedule on the Front End Projects.
Prepare monthly project reports and assist in project cost and schedule reviews.
Work closely with the projects teams to monitor Management of Change process, identifying cost and/or schedule impacts of proposed changes and incorporating those impacts into the Project Work Plan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple Front End projects and will cover all project services disciplines for these projects. This requires all rounder (cost and schedule) background and initiative to develop skills within all disciplines. Front End work is at a higher level and this role is not for the subject matter experts within cost or schedule that wants to work the details on projects in execution.
Bachelor's Degree.
5-10 years project experience in cost and schedule management.
Project experience from upstream EPC projects primarily offshore. Knowledge of drilling and subsurface work is desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles. PMP certification is desirable
Experienced with network planning structures and techniques, experienced user of Primavera Project Planner (P3, P3e, 5.0) and Microsoft Project. Working experience with SAP is desirable.
Experience with risk identification and analyses including Pertmaster will be an advantage.
Must be willing to support other groups and projects when required.
Ability to promote our services to new customers.
