The role

NES have a Dubai based client who is recruiting experienced staff for a major project in Dubai



Required Experience/Accountabilities



You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor preferably chartered with extensive experience working on large projects. You will have excellent communication skills and have the drive and enthusiasm to succeed on this professional team.

Cost Manager will be responsible for design, development and procurement budgets, whilst providing construction and cost advice for the development feasibility scheme, as well as introducing robust processes to enable its delivery. This role requires someone to liaise with the other quantity surveying consultants and communicate with all finance teams, reporting to the head of cost management

1. Conducting MEP feasibility studies, managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presentation of the final cost plan.

2. Ensuring that MEP post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.

3. Value engineering and life cycle costing.

4. Lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities.

4. Developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.

5. Working with Management to construct bids.

6. Look at and recommend opportunities to improve all processes and procedures.

7. Manage and recruit the team where appropriate.

8. Work with the MEP cost database.

9. Utilise the Financial Management System to keep track of costs / margins / forecasts for commissions.
