We are looking for a Completions Engineer to work for a large rail company in Rugby. You will oversee the provision of the necessary documentation for handover / completion / hand back of a section of Major Closure.

Implement the strategy to deliver handover / completion / hand back for the intended level of functionality by the scheduled dates.

Monitor tracking and reporting system of System and Project level hand back deliverables

Report progress on System and Project level hand back deliverables

Identify threats to delivery of hand back and report to the appropriate managers for action

Assist the Construction Manager, act as interface between West Coast Midlands and respective Zone / WCMU Asset Management, facilitating the handover / hand back process ensuring proper and safe transfer of asset and respective data by the scheduled dates

1.Manage the Handover processes and ensure that all necessary databases are properly transferred. Report problems to area supervisor.
2.Ensure that databases are properly updated and functional to reflect all works implemented.
3.Assist in the compilation and delivery of Maintenance Strategies and necessary maintenance training.
4.Participate in design review if required.
5.Develop elements of the Asset Management Strategy as directed.
6.Monitor Implementation progress, data processing efforts and development of the Maintenance Strategy to confirm the asset is ready and suitable for Handback.
7.Liase with Zone to facilitate transfer of data systems back to the Zone.
8.Ensure the formal identification and agreement of any snagging items required to attain Handback status. Co-ordinate the sign-off of those items.
9.Identify those items requiring expeditious resolution after Handback. Obtain and document Zone agreement that items are acceptably resolved and within agreed completion date.
Monitor Defects Liability period events and final inspection documenting and deficiencies or previous snagging work not complete. Monitor and document acceptable resolutions of any items noted at end of Defects Liability Period. The output forms an essential part of the WCRM Rolling Safety Case.
The post has strong working relationships with Senior Managers and engineers in Zone, Delivery and Maintenance

Essential

Engineering/Commissioning background
Good knowledge of railways and maintenance operations
Computer literate, especially spreadsheets (Excel)
Good written and oral communications
Excellent interpersonal skills
Desirable
Working knowledge of Handover/Handback procedures
Audit techniques
