The building services technician will have both a engineering design (MEP) and AutoCAD drawing production capability, on both 2D and 3D CAD systems.
The technician will also have a proven track record in the delivery of projects with high volume drawing issuing and including experience with industry standard FTP and extranet systems.
The technician will also assist in the development of systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD System is used effectively and provide guidance and advice to design engineers on the planning and management of advanced CAD techniques.

The Person
The key requirements of the Building Services Technician are:
Good secondary and tertiary education.
Minimum HND in a related engineering or building services subject or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years experience in a building services consultants or contractors.
Proven track record in the creation and management of 2D drawings.
Good computer and IT skills including spreadsheets and databases.
Confident, proactive character, with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
Experience of working on a one to one basis and in team working situations.
Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Fully computer literate in Autocad 2007.

Additional advantages
3D CAD experience including AutoCAD MEP and/or equivalent 3D packages.
Project specific experience in the use of industry standard FTP or Extranet systems.
