Location: 1 week London & 3 weeks Angola per month
Rate: 500 - 550 / day ltd + uplift in Angola

Job description:
My operator client is looking for a BUR (Business Unit Resources) Cost Engineer. The job includes re-energising and implementing effective cost control and forecasting of all Opex and Capex spend across BURs business transactions. This means ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded, reported and forecast with integrity, transparency and in a timely manner. It also requires robust management information processes and reports to support delivery of business performance. Of immediate concern is changing the game in terms of rigour in to the Business Infrastructure activities. Working closely with clients Finance Department and within the Corporate rules and standards (GIAAP, GRM, G&E) this entails ensuring that accounting services are provided in an efficient manner, liaising with BUR budget holders to understand activity, providing assurance and an independent view to the BUR management team re Opex and Capex progression.
