First line responsibility of Design personnel

Generation of Specifications/Standards Design Instructions associated with Piping Engineering

Assist the Lead Piping Engineer in areas related to Piping Engineering productivity o monitor/mentor Engineering Technicians

Plan/Monitor/Progress work fronts in designated areas

Be able to develop from first pass information the generation of piping system concepts

Be able to accept and undertake responsibility

Develop and produce Technical Work Practices

Have a demonstrated knowledge of piping bulk materials and basic principals of piping flexibility

Be able to undertake, supervise and control bulk material activities

Be able to develop critical Piping System in conjunction with the Lead Piping Engineer

Be able to understand and develop Plot/Plant Layout concept, review, check and advise direction associated with Plant Layout.

Coordination of all design activity related concepts

Ability to select and adequately support pipework systems from a standard library of Pipe Supports

Co-ordinate and action information between Piping, Civils and Vendor

Able to generate and control a library of special pipe supports

Be responsible for the maintenance of quality Plant Layout and Piping system design.

Be aware of Corporate, National and International Standards

Planning and scheduling of Piping activities

Review, check, and advise direction associated with Plant Layout

Interviews

Review vendor package and equipment drawings

Mentor Piping Engineering Technician
