The A/S Cost engineer will be part of a small team of three people and will report to the A/S Project Services Manager. The cost engineer will provide cost control support to all projects in the Appraise and Select stages of the Programme. Appraise/ Select annual expenditure varies from around $5m upto around $270m per project.

Roles & Responsibilities
Cost modeling control and reporting
Budget inputs and preparation (for both Client and Partner budgets)
Cost forecasting, including inputs to various internal and partner processes.
Expenditure monitoring and reconciliation
Preparation of monthly Value of Work Done & Accruals
Monthly preparation of Cash forecasts
Third party commitments control (indents and other commitment processes)
Invoice clearance using e-Invoicing and SAP accounting systems
Allocation of costs between the different developments within the Programme
Organisation manpower planning, P&O cost control, reporting and forecasting
Master Work Order and EPTG Service Work Order preparation, administration and control
BU & EPTG Timewriting control and reporting
Maintenance of suitable cost codes structure (in conjunction with Luanda FC&A)
Effective networking and interfacing between the various teams both within the Appraise/Select team and with wider BU functions such as FC&A and Commercial.
Provide primary point of contact for cost related enquiries from other PU team members
The role is Surrey based, although occasional travel to UK contractors offices or overseas may be required.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Significant experience of cost control in project or operations roles
Excellent numeracy skills
Working knowledge of commitment and contract administration processes
Excellent team player
Good interpersonal and communication skills
