Our client currently have a vacancy for a 3D Mechanical Designer at their offices in South Gloucestershire. They are market leaders the design, specification, manufacture and installation of metering and water systems for customers within the Oil & Gas market sector.

Candidates for this position must have the ability to create a 3D design of skid mounted process packages, including structural steel and pipework modelling and from this model to develop the necessary 2D fabrication drawings and bills of material. Ability to understand client and international specifications and apply them to the design is essential.

Experience of Bentley AutoPlant 3D software is preferable, however, users of other 3D packages (AutoCAD, CADWORX) will be considered.

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate relevant direct experience of structural steel design in a materials handling environment (such as conveyor design), water industry, petrochemical industry, or oil & gas and should be qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
